The Main Window
On successful registration the main window, which remains invariant in this display, opens up.
The Main Menu Bar is always displayed and offers a variety of functions and settings, which can be selected at any time. In the Database menu under User Selection (keyboard short-cut Ctrl + U) a different user can be easily selected and registered by entering the password. This facilitates fast changes of user, e.g. when there is a change in sales staff. The most frequently required functions from the navigation list can be found in Day Trading. The Cash Book and the Settlement Calendar can also be found here. Reports contains various reports and statistics on sales, rental, disposition, correspondence and the To Do List and the SMS log. The Seasons Settings contain all the settings for the season, which have usually been edited prior to the start of the season. As well as the Item Directory, Ski Instructors, General Contacts (Gen. Contacts) and the Seasons Calendar can also be found here. All the basic installations such as Group Type, Folder, Profile, Text Blocks, Meeting Place, Lesson Times, Method of Payment, etc. are regulated in Basic Configuration.
Under Help the manual, a list of keyboard short-cuts, the Waldhart software website, the Support form and so on can be accessed. The Print Wizard provides problem-specific instructions to help troubleshoot printing problems (ticket printer, receipt printer). The Waldhart Software TeamViewer is loaded under Remote Control – TeamViewer. The Waldhart support team needs the TeamViewer ID displayed to be able to access the PC by remote control.
If the Job Date is bold and underlined, this indicates the current date. Clicking on the calendar sheet to the right of the date calls up another date up via the small calendar. When work is carried on within the program (date of sale, newspaper advertisement, requests etc.) the program always returns to the selected job date.
The lower blue field in the Navigation Bar shows the selection of a section (sales, disposition, addresses, administration, favourites). The section selected is highlighted with a dark blue background. Each section has a variety of functions, which are listed in the white field on the navigation bar. Simply clicking on the required function opens the relevant window in the grey interface of the main window. Tools – Settings – Computer – Options Program start can be used to set whether the sales, calendar or report window should be opened by default on starting the program on the computer currently being used.
The green light in the Lower Task Bar indicates that the program is active and a link to the data base has been set up. A red light indicates that the software is not functioning; where applicable, the user must report this. The arrows to the right and left are buttons allowing the user to scroll through the windows, which have been opened. To the right the currently registered user is displayed.
The Lock button stands for Close Till. Clicking on Lock closes it and the checkout or the current date is closed. All further sales are then assigned to the following day.
The flashing triangle with exclamation mark indicates that new Online Bookings have been entered and not yet noticed by the registered/logged-on user. The number behind OB indicates the number of Online Bookings not yet transferred to the Journal.
The next field shows the branch, to which the device (PC) in use is allocated. The file path on the right indicates where the database is stored and/or which database is being used. To the right of it the version of the software in use together with the publication date is noted.
