The calendar's main function is to allocate the group and private courses. However, ticket sales can also be performed via the calendar. Private courses can be booked at any time; sales of group courses must already have been installed.
Private courses are represented by a triangle. Group course are represented like this:
For more detailed information on course disposition in the calendar see Calendar.
Selling or reserving group courses
To sell via the Calendar click on the pre-selected group with the right mouse button and select the Course – Book course function. In this way it is possible to book a participant directly onto an existing group course. The Sales dialogue therefore opens with the pre-selected ski instructor and item. In this type of booking only the item, which has been allocated in the Item Directory sheet to the same type of group as the group course, is available. It is possible to change the item to the appropriate number of days for the course. Clicking on Save places the item in the shopping cart in the Sales window. Here the sale can be concluded or reserved in the normal way. If several courses are to be entered in a single sales transaction, the Ctrl key can be held down while the sales dialogue is confirmed via the diskette. Therefore the view stays as with the calendar until the sales dialogue has been saved without activating the Ctrl key. All the courses entered in the meantime then appear together in the shopping cart in the Sales window.
If the stored participant number for the course is reached, the course is identified with the appropriate symbol.
Selling or reserving private courses
A private course can be generated either by using the symbol or by clicking on the line for the required ski instructor and then clicking again with the right mouse button. If the required period for the private course is selected in the ski instructor line and then the right mouse button is clicked, the selected period automatically appears in the lesson time for the private course.
Both these methods open the Sales dialogue, which make it possible to sell or reserve a private course. In the Course type selection window only courses, which are marked on the Item Directory sheet as private courses, are displayed. This is where the required private course is selected and all of the participant's data is entered. The name of the ski instructor is automatically displayed in the Ski Instructor field, in the line which has just been clicked.
The course is reserved by using the paper clip to conclude the sale click on the print symbol to print and sell the ticket. Clicking on the cancelled printer saves the sale without printing a ticket .
In the Sales settings the sale can be activated in the Calendar via the shopping cart. In this setting the printer symbol is replaced by a diskette and the sale is concluded as for group courses via the Sales window in the shopping cart.
Amendments to courses and reservations
Double clicking on a course icon post-edits private and group courses. In the case of private courses the individual ticket in the Sales dialogue is edited in this process. In the case of group courses the entire group course is edited and the change has no effect on the individual tickets of the course participants.
When making amendments to private courses it must be taken into account whether this is a reservation. In order to save this again as a reservation, the paper clip must again be selected. If a sale is to be concluded, the method of payment is entered in the Sales dialogue and the ticket is sold by using the printer symbols.
Meaning of the icons in private courses and reservations
Important information on private courses is displayed as icons on the course bar. These icons have the following meanings:
Reservation – the course has been reserved and is neither sold nor paid for
Payment reminder – the course has been sold, but has not been paid for
Request – the customer has been firmly allocated the ski instructor, which is why Request is activated in the Sales dialogue; the ski instructor must not be changed
Voucher – in the case of this booking a voucher partner has been specified.
